On Tuesday and Wednesday, together with the heads of the avalanche warning service, we carried out a large-scale snowpack investigation between 1700m and 3000m. The snowpack was examined at 14 locations. The work produced a very satisfactory result – the snowpack stability in the areas examined, i.e. between 1700m and 3000m, can currently be rated as moderate (level 2 ).

It is important to us to point out that the result applies "currently! and can change quickly with a change in the weather situation as well as over time.

Attention: check the current avalanche bulletin before every tour! http://www.lawine.at/ The area around the Franz Senn Hütte belongs to the northern Stubai Alps!
