As is very often the case at this time of year, ski touring conditions in high-alpine regions are exceptionally good. With clever route choice you can find both powder and corn snow on one and the same tour.
Particular attention should be paid, especially at lower altitudes and in the southern half, to the loss of strength of the snowpack depending on the time of day and the temperature.
